Hotel Simon

The issue wasn’t getting the breakfast money back. We’d have picked somewhere else if we’d known breakfast had stopped, especially since it mattered for the older people with us. We’d arranged breakfast, served away from the hotel, and only found out at the venue that it had been discontinued the day before. The hotel had already taken full payment before breakfast and offered to refund only that cost. Things can go wrong, but they should be handled professionally, with another option offered. I’ve never had an experience like this.

The location is handy, very close to the beach and basic services, and the staff are friendly and ready to help. The hotel feels dated and could use a few improvements, but it’s good value.

The late-night noise and rudeness from other guests felt more like a dorm without anyone keeping watch than a hotel. The room had an old bathroom, mold, and someone else’s hair on the floor. Apart from having a private bathroom, it was no different from an ordinary hostel. We won’t be back.

The beach is only a two-minute walk away, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a great time, thanks, Hotel Simon! The hotel is a little dated but clean, with a nice veranda, tables, and games for children. My room was on the small side, though it had what I needed: a shower and bidet, TV, and air conditioning available for €5 a night. The balcony looked out toward the beach and sea from the side. Meals were okay, and breakfast was very good.
