Hotel Villa Cicchini

We spent hours waiting and trying to find the hotel they moved us to, instead of relaxing and resting. Our train was late, so we arrived at the hotel around 2 pm, then had to walk to the other place they transferred us to and didn’t check in there until almost 7 pm. It made for a very long day for my family. We’d booked and paid through the travel agency, but the reception staff member wasn’t accommodating and was very rude. He kept my family waiting for about three hours, even though he knew our baby was with us. He also didn’t confirm with the agency that they would send us to another hotel.

The food was a real treat, with delicious dishes that changed every day and a choice of meat or fish menus. Breakfast was also very good, especially the exquisite homemade pies. The cleaning ladies were so kind and courteous, and the rooms were spotless and tidy. I spent a wonderful week here. Mr. Roberto was attentive and kind, and made me feel at home right away. His wife and daughters, Elena and Alice, were friendly, polite, and keen to meet every need. I also met several lovely people, especially Mrs. Maria and her husband, Laviero, who did all they could to make us comfortable. We became a great group and often went out together in the evenings. If I return to Viserba, I’ll definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

The room and common areas were spotless, the value for money was excellent, and I had a great time overall. I spent eight days here and really enjoyed the food. Lunch always offered a choice of fish or meat, and the fish-based Ferragosto menu was nothing short of exceptional. Roberto was always in the dining room, attentive to making sure guests had enough. His personality is a bit peculiar, though, and can come across as almost rude if you haven’t known him for long. I felt that when I asked him to turn down the air conditioning, which was blowing on me the whole time. I would’ve expected him to offer a seat change if he couldn’t adjust it. Still, I’ll be back next year.

My family and I felt at home during our stay from August 14th to August 21st, and the food was really good. Special thanks to the chef, who made delicious dishes for my daughter with celiac disease. Roberto is very friendly and approachable, and his daughters Elena and Alice are the best. Great value for money. If I return to Viserba, this will be my favourite place to stay. Thanks to all the staff!
