Hotel King

The room was the first problem: it was so cramped that four of us could barely move, there was nowhere for our bags, and I ended up putting things on a folded bunk. Even the front desk said it was a room intended for two. This was our third visit, and it will be the last. We leave tomorrow and won't return. Families looking for a comfortable holiday should think twice, because the service we once knew has changed and the stay can spoil your mood. Breakfast has also got worse, with little choice, too little food, and very slow service. Then I was stopped in front of everyone over two croissants I'd wrapped up. It was embarrassing and out of line. I never got an apology from the waitress who stepped in, and nobody followed up on my complaint yesterday or today. After I complained, I saw what looked like different rules for different guests. An Italian guest took several sandwiches, yogurts, two peaches, and two apples without being told anything. Two other families also left with yogurt and fruit in full view, and staff said nothing. I was the one confronted over two croissants, with a receptionist called over to do it publicly. It felt hostile toward tourists and showed a lack of basic hospitality. That kind of treatment isn't acceptable in a service business. This used to be a warm, welcoming hotel. I no longer recommend it.

The food is plentiful and really good, and the staff are kind to guests, smiling even when things get difficult. Rooms are cleaned thoroughly and regularly, and some have a lovely beach view. The hotel is in a nice spot, quite close to the beach. We had a great experience.

The room was small, but worked perfectly well for us. Breakfast was nice, and the staff were kind. Great location too.

Some rooms look out over the sea, even though the hotel isn't on the beachfront promenade. The location is very good, and the staff are great. Alice and Marina at reception stood out, as did the owner, who works alongside the team.
