Hotel Marinella

The price is too cheap, but the beds are terrible. The breakfast buffet is the best part, though. I love it.

The staff were unfriendly.

They took the money straight away, but nothing happened after that. I booked for August, then my girlfriend couldn’t get time off, so I contacted the Marina Bay Hotel more than a month ahead and explained the situation. They said I could move the booking within the year. Since I had no other options, I politely asked if they’d postpone it to the following year. “Sure, no problem,” they told me. After that, nobody followed up. No email or confirmation. I called in July, August, and September, and each time they said they’d move the booking, but nothing changed. Lots of promises and no action. This wasn’t a mix-up, it was a complete lack of seriousness. A serious hotel should sort out problems instead of stringing a customer along until they give up. The way they handled this feels like a total mockery. Never again, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who expects even a little respect.

The rooms were tiny, dirty, and poorly stocked, and the food was sparse and low quality. The website advertised services that simply weren’t there. Air conditioning was controlled by the hotel staff, there was no safe or in-room phone, and the tablecloths were already stained when we arrived. I’ll stop there. Avoid this place.
