Pasquale was sleeping in our apartment, and the bathroom was disgusting.

Really awful!!! Don't go there, you'll die!!!

The one thing I liked was Pasquale the caretaker. He was friendly, hospitable, and kind, a great man. Everything else was awful. The place was dirty and cramped, and the photos were misleading, apparently years old or possibly taken from IKEA's website. There wasn't a single plate, piece of cutlery, or glass. The beds were filthy and bloodstained, and so uncomfortable I felt like I'd spent five years sleeping in a cell. Sheets were missing, the air conditioning was dirty, there was mold on the walls, broken door frames, and a bathroom drain that wouldn't take toilet paper. The shower drain was outside the stall, so the bathroom flooded every time we showered. The balconies were tiny, with a view of a construction site. My apartment door locked sometimes and sometimes didn't, so taking our things to the beach felt safer than leaving them at home. The building was run-down, and reception was just a small room with a little table and no POS terminal. We had to pay in cash after waiting on sofas that looked like they hadn't been cleaned since Italy won the World Cup. Parking was tiny, sometimes nearly nonexistent. Tenants had to compete for a space each day, and once you got one, getting out was so difficult it took the skill of a Romanian truck driver with 20 years of experience. The key system was a mess, with master keys assigned to some rooms, presumably because they didn't have enough keys. That meant you could come home and find someone inside. It happened one afternoon when two friends got back early from the beach and found a man there without warning, fixing their window, which was broken. And, to top it all off, there were escorts renting rooms in the residence.

The location was the only good part, with the beach and bus stops nearby. Our first apartment was a two-room place the owner said could fit eight, but it had just one bathroom and bunk beds squeezed into a tiny area. We complained and got moved to a larger apartment, though it still wasn't suitable for our group. It wasn't clean, and several things didn't work properly, including the shower, blinds, and some light bulbs. We saw the owner at check-in, but he wasn't there at check-out. A terrible experience.
