Residence Opera

Fantastic, top-notch.

I really liked having a very private terrace, barely visible from the neighboring apartments and hotels. The location's ideal if you enjoy nightlife and don't mind the noise. The apartment was on the third floor beside the elevator, but it lacked many basics: hand soap, dish soap, body wash, toilet paper, cups, a Moka pot, a teapot, a bathroom curtain, and a cleaning rag, among other things. The kitchen outlet was loose and felt unsafe, and the terrace light didn't work. I fixed some of the missing items myself; staff took care of others. They were kind and helpful, but late, and I couldn't reach them by phone.

My friends and I were disappointed by dirty rooms and appliances and electrical sockets left broken from earlier stays. One of the double rooms even had bed bugs, despite the extra cleaning service. We asked the owner to meet with us and explain what had gone wrong, but he didn't turn up and wouldn't answer his phone. Avoid if you can.

We only stayed one night, and the next day our whole bodies were itching from bedbug bites. The owner didn't give us the room we'd booked through Booking.com. First we were offered a room outside the building, then one inside with a broken air conditioner. That apartment was very dirty, with broken glass all over the living area, and the stairs were filthy. I tried contacting the previous owner, but he kept leaving, wouldn't answer the phone, and wouldn't come to the hotel, so nothing got resolved. Be careful and check before booking. We felt completely ripped off.
