We were charged an extra city tax at checkout, although the listing said the price included all taxes. Nobody mentioned it at check-in. When we asked why Booking.com didn’t show the charge, staff said it wasn’t their problem that we didn’t know about the tax. We pointed out that they could have listed it there and told us before check-in. Their response was, “Well, sorry, we forgot, but you still have to pay.” Paying a city tax is normal, but the hotel should show it in the price breakdown. Booking.com makes that easy, yet the total price and tax amount weren’t specified. We only heard about it after checkout. That isn’t in line with the law or Booking.com’s policy. The hotel blamed Booking.com, but to me this was careless service and misleading pricing. The hotel itself was average, nothing terrible but nothing special. The service was poor, communication was nonexistent, and nobody tried to have a constructive conversation with us. They even said, “Well, if you want, go ahead and write a bad review.”

The hotel was clean, and I enjoyed my Easter break there. Breakfast was good, and the location made it easy to get to both the beach and town. There are some good points, but it needs renovations to really live up to four-star standards.

We spent one night here to see Rimini. The location was handy, close to the boulevard and beach, with a mini market nearby. Parking is available if you request it, and there’s a pool, though it’s very small and gets little sun. Our room was tiny, dated, and not very clean. There were black hairs all over, including in the bathroom and mini-fridge. The air conditioning mostly made noise without doing much. It was okay for one night, but next time I’d look for a more expensive hotel.

A good experience overall. The hotel is nicely placed in Rimini, and the rooms are modern, though a bit small. They have private parking, which costs 20€ a day.

That delicious breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful, and included in the price. We stayed in late May and thought the value was outstanding. The room was clean and comfortable, and we had a lovely stay. Thank you, Royal Plaza, for a memorable visit to Rimini. Grazie mille!
