Camping Village Canapai

The facilities were clean, the staff really friendly, and the food was good. It’s a beautiful campsite with a relaxed feel. Just be aware that the access road is gravel, and some parts inside the campsite are quite steep, especially if your tent is higher up. We managed in our city car, but a four-wheel drive is recommended.

The campground sits in lovely natural surroundings, with a great pool and an amazing restaurant. We got in quite late with our bikes, after reception had closed, but they still gave us a really warm welcome. Thanks, Roland and Walter, for two wonderful evenings. We’d love to return soon, and recommend this special place to everyone! Bernadetta and Stefano ;-)

The best thing about the site is its natural layout, with pitches in the woods instead of the rows of parking spots found at many European campgrounds. We stayed four nights in a camper. The basic equipment was acceptable and the beds were fine, and the pool was nice. But the place overall is run-down, with old, primitive facilities and lots of things rusting or falling apart. The playground is small and has some broken equipment, and there isn’t much else to do. The biggest problem was the bar’s party music, played loudly every single night until 2 a.m. We could hear it across the whole campground and couldn’t sleep. When we asked them to turn it down, they weren’t interested and replied, “Look, it’s a bar!” I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

An exciting experience, with everything you need gathered in one place. The service was impeccable, the host was friendly, and the location worked well for children. I’d come back :)
