The room itself was fine, but checking in was a bit of a mess. They also couldn't hold our bags after checkout, which was disappointing. It may be a six-minute walk from the train station, but the hill is so steep that we were bound to arrive sweating.

It's a cozy room, although both the room and double bed were a bit small. It worked as a good base for visiting cinque terre, but I wouldn't want to stay for a long time. The host was friendly and self check-in went smoothly. The room was clean on arrival, though no cleaning was done during our stay. Shops line the pleasant walk to the hotel, and you have everything you need nearby, but hauling heavy bags up the big hill is no fun. Nights were quiet enough if you get up early, but mornings get very noisy if you want to sleep in.

The accommodation was nice and had everything we needed for a good stay. The owner was friendly, and there are different restaurants nearby, as well as the train station and harbour. We recommend it :)

After long days walking the sea-view trails, it was easy to get some quiet here. Rio Centrale is in town but away from the bars in the center, so the spot felt nicely placed for resting. We stayed in September, and the manager was really helpful, giving us loads of useful information.
