Agriturismo Mandrola

We were able to get out to Grazzano Visconti and nearby villages from here, and the peaceful garden among the orchard was a lovely place to sit and have a drink. Mandrola is pet-friendly too, and my dog was treated with warmth and respect. I stayed in the fall and found the room spacious, clean, and welcoming; with only a few rooms, the place feels intimate and calm. Mandrola also has historical and commemorative significance: the 1973 air tragedy is remembered here with a monument in the hills. I didn’t try the main meals, but the breakfast buffet was excellent, generous, and varied, with homemade sweet and savoury choices. A genuine, peaceful stay. Recommended!

We’ve now stayed here for a second year, during our August holidays in 2024 and 2025, and we’ll certainly come back. The setting in the hills is beautiful, surrounded by nature and quiet. It’s a good place for walks, reading in the sun by the pool, or heading out by car or bike. The property is small and peaceful, and the rooms are comfortable and spotless, with the bed linen and towels changed often. The owners are very friendly and always ready to help with guests’ needs. Breakfast is generous, with lovely cakes the owner bakes each day, plus homemade biscuits and jams, yoghurt, fruit, and more. Dinner brings delicious homemade cured meats, pasta, and traditional Piacenza dishes.

We had Easter Monday lunch with friends and really enjoyed the food. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the price felt fair for the quality of the ingredients. We’ll come back!

The agriturismo is beautifully kept, with tasteful furnishings and lots of attention to detail. Its setting makes it a lovely place to unwind in nature. The owner welcomed us warmly and made our unfortunately brief stay very comfortable. We’ll be back!
