Albergo Genzianella

Breakfast was delicious, with a very good selection of sweet and savoury European foods. We’d happily recommend staying here, and our puppy loved the beautiful Newfoundland. We’d had a mix-up with our campground dates, so our night at Albergo Genzianella turned into a happy accident. At first the host said there were no rooms because a group had just arrived, but then he found one available and came out to the car park to offer it. We were glad to take it, especially since pets are welcome. Dinner service had ended, but they pointed us to a delicious pizzeria across the road. The room had what we needed, though the shower was a little small. It looks like a great place to come back to after a day on the slopes.

There’s a ski bus stop 50 metres from the hotel, and they have storage for skis plus a separate boot room so your boots are warm and dry in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back anytime. The place is clean, pleasant and good value, with spacious rooms and fresh towels every day. The owner is lovely, and so is his dog 😀. It has a nice family feel. Breakfast was awesome, and dinner with all three courses is worth trying.

I only stayed from 17.12 until 8.23 the next morning, and had also paid for breakfast for two. It was very poor. The Wi-Fi barely worked, and there was a strange smell in the hotel. I didn't use the ski boot room. Also, the address sent with my reservation took me 14 km away from the actual location.

We’d made this reservation a year in advance, but when we arrived there was nobody there. A very rude woman eventually came while we were trying to work out what to do, and wouldn’t even acknowledge us. The bus driver who dropped us off tried to help but got nowhere. Another woman walking by with her family spoke Dutch and English and managed to speak with the hotel woman. She told us there was no reservation and they hadn’t received any money, despite our confirmation numbers, booking proof and credit card charge. We found a lovely hotel down the road instead, and it was fabulous. I absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone. If zero stars were an option, I’d give that.
