The agency employees were nice, responsive, and helpful, and the house and apartment themselves were pleasant. There were a number of practical issues, though. We were three people in a ground-floor unit with one bedroom containing two beds and a pull-out couch in the living room, but the couch hadn’t been made up for sleeping. The dishwasher had no tablets, and we were given only a sponge and travel-size dish soap. For our six-day stay, the three of us also got just two rolls of two-ply toilet paper. For skiing, note that a car with a roof box can’t fit into the garage. There’s a ski box in the garage, but nowhere heated to store ski boots. The ski bus stop is across the road, but we were told it costs extra beyond the Dolomiti Superski pass, 15 euros per person per week. It’s around a 15-minute drive to the Marmolada cable car, and the Civetta ski area is nearby. The gas boiler’s carbon monoxide detector had no batteries, but they fixed it when we asked. A hair dryer was listed as available and reception said it was there, but it was missing from the apartment. When one was delivered, its plug didn’t fit the sockets, so bring an adapter.
