Main Palace Hotel

The one bright spot was the receptionist, who was friendly and nice. Otherwise, the rooms were basic and disappointing. We booked two superior rooms, but after changing our dates we were given one superior and one standard, both charged at the superior rate. The difference is significant: the standard room is much smaller, with no balcony or view. Breakfast was mediocre. By 9:20 a.m. it was already cold, and there wasn't much left. The coffee was absolutely disgusting.

We just got back from two weeks at the Main Palace Hotel, and we got more than we expected for what we paid. The balconies overlooking the beautiful ocean were much bigger than expected, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable too. The staff were incredibly friendly and did everything they could to make us comfortable. I'll definitely come back and recommend it to friends and family.

The sea was the only thing I liked. Everything else felt anonymous and indifferent, from the hotel itself to the rooms and staff, who seemed uninterested. Street noise also carries into the rooms. The rest is best forgotten.

The room was okay, but not worth what we paid, and the hotel had a pretty sad atmosphere. Breakfast was poor with very little choice, and you have to wear a cap in the swimming pool. They delete negative reviews, too. Even though places like Etna, Savoca, Taormina and Messina are in the area, it's still quite far from everything. Don't book this.
