For the price, I expected more. The building is very old, though fairly well kept, and the rooms feel basic and dated. The beds were very hard, and the service was poor. Breakfast ends at 9:00; they're a little flexible, but not happy about it. This doesn't feel like a real four-star hotel.

The hotel is just outside Roccaraso, which was a plus since it let us avoid the high-season crowds. Our room was spacious and had a nice balcony where we could sunbathe. The staff were very friendly, and there are lockers for ski gear. The food wasn't outstanding, but it was good. I'll be back.
