The apartment we rented was comfortable, and the 1970s building is well maintained. It was incredibly hot 🥵. Fabio, the caretaker, was friendly and very attentive.

I stayed during the week of August 15th and found it disappointing. The residence may be appealing in snowy winter weather, but it felt run-down and poorly maintained. It sits right on the main road, and even though Roccaraso center is only a couple of kilometers away, walking there is impossible. Maybe it could work as a base for excursions in the wonderful national park.

There’s plenty of parking, and it’s very quiet among the woods. The place is on the main road just outside the center of Roccaraso.

The food is proper Abruzzese cooking, and there’s plenty of it. The appetizers are a real highlight. I’d go for the starters and main course.

A comfortable apartment with lots of amenities, just a short walk from the center of Roccaraso.
