La Melosa Resort & Spa - Adults Only

The restaurant had a fresh menu every night and some really good local wines. Breakfast was straightforward but tasty, and the staff were friendly and around well into the evening. We stayed 12 days in early September and would happily recommend the place. With just 12 rooms and a focus on adult guests, the calm atmosphere felt quite different from bigger, family-focused places. The furnishings and decor were well looked after, not dated, and still had the Tuscan feel, at least to us. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated, and had all the amenities we'd expect from a good hotel. We spent half our days on excursions, and the location worked well. Florence was a bit of a drive at 2 hours, while Montepulciano and Montalcino were relatively close. On a rainy day we booked the spa and two massages, which we'd recommend. It has a steam bath, sauna, bubble bath, Turkish bath, plus tea and snacks, so it's easy to spend more than 1 hour there. If we return to Tuscany, we'd stay here again. One small suggestion: we never saw any "Do not disturb" signs. We didn't need cleaning and fresh sheets every day anyway, so it might be useful to have them.

Even through the very hot summer, our room stayed comfortably cool without AC, thanks to the underfloor cooling system. The agroturismo is lovely, with a clean, well-kept pool area and a breakfast buffet included in the stay. There was a good range of high-quality local ingredients, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

September's weather didn't take away from how lovely this resort was to visit. I only wish the restaurant had more vegetarian and vegan choices. It's a lovely place to stay with someone you love, and I'm excited to come back with my whole family to show them these beautiful spots in Tuscany. Love Italy.

The beds were comfortable and breakfast was nice. The pool was ice cold, which could actually be welcome on a hot day. We enjoyed the restaurant's warm, professional service and would recommend it if you're nearby. The room seemed a bit expensive for what it was.
