B&B La Sorgente

We were visiting family in Rocchetta and found the location wonderful. It’s an easy short walk to the main square, while the local Abbey/castle is also close by. There’s free WiFi and breakfast, plus street parking nearby. We’ll stay here again!

Traditional sweets were the standout at breakfast, and they changed a little each day. There was also fruit, yogurt, a kettle, coffee machine, and toast. This B&B is in a small village in upper Molise, beneath the Mainarde Mountains, in a beautiful area full of nature and art history. The house is thoughtfully organized, with a practical room, easygoing human contact, and works of art around the place. It’s a good choice for a few restful days. Being close to the national park is another plus, along with the source of the Volturno River and the medieval complex of San Vincenzo.

Breakfast included croissants, homemade tart, toast, and cereal, and the garden pool was a real highlight. The room was very nice and clean. The property sits in the heart of Rocchetta al Volturno, a great fit for anyone drawn to nature, mountains, and quiet. Castel di Sangro is about a 20-minute drive away. Recommended.

We had a great time and would happily return. Our attic room was lovely and spacious, and everything was very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the owner was extremely helpful, and the pool was well maintained. There are also excellent nearby places to try typical Abruzzo and Molise products. We highly recommend it.
