Hotel Piccolo Paradiso

The pool was the standout for me, with a beautiful view. From the hotel, the sea is easy to reach on foot, or you can take the shuttle. Our room was spacious and well cared for, and the sea view from the hotel was splendid. The two waiters and the cleaning lady were so kind and always willing to help with requests. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it.

The climb to and from the beach was exhausting, especially going uphill, since the steps are so high and awkward to manage. Luckily, a shuttle ran at certain times of day. There are good things about the hotel, including the view and the rooms. The food didn’t work for me: small portions, bland, and very basic. It didn’t feel like hotel food.

I came home a few pounds heavier, even though I think the kitchen still has things to improve. The service was good and people were always available to help. Nicola was around the guests, reception could provide information, and the room staff greeted us cheerfully each morning. Those are the things that make a hospitality business work. I’ve been in the business myself, and it’s hard to satisfy every guest. We had a lovely, relaxing week, and I’ll return for the spectacular view and family atmosphere that made me feel at home. I stayed at Piccolo Paradiso Hotel from August 16th to August 23rd, in a double room with a terrace facing the sea, though the view was somewhat to the side. I don’t want to give either a positive or negative review. We guests can be demanding when we’re paying, but there are places charging more than Mr. Nicola’s hotel for the same level of service, and offering less. We make our own holiday, and have to make things work. Congratulations, Mr. Nicola.
