Tenuta Molino di Mare - Ecoresort with Villini

A nice place, laid out like a village hotel with room houses. There’s no air conditioning.

The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable, and I was told it only worked at reception. But reception closed at 7:30, leaving the village practically unattended and with no one to contact in an emergency. The unlit dirt road from the gate was difficult and felt unsafe, especially at night, and there were wild animals in the area, including wild boars. I also had lizards inside my house. I have a phobia of them, so when I raised it with the owner, her indifferent answer was that there was nothing she could do to stop them coming and going. She seemed just as uninterested when I asked for a cheese grater and was told they didn’t have one. Breakfast was poor too, with croissants so dry and stale they seemed to have been left out for days. I stayed only a short time at this eco-resort, and the experience was extremely disappointing. It was supposed to be a relaxing break in nature, but the lack of service and attention to detail made it anything but pleasant. The owner didn’t seem very involved in the day-to-day running of the place. When I tried to talk through the problems at the end of my stay and offer suggestions, she didn’t seem willing to listen or consider them. Her response was essentially that I could simply not come back if I wasn’t satisfied, and that she didn’t care. That attitude makes me question whether she can learn from guest feedback or adapt to what customers need. A property owner should be willing to hear suggestions and use them to improve. With the poor service, little regard for guest safety, and no apparent willingness to listen, I can’t recommend this resort to anyone looking for a safe, relaxing stay.

Mrs. Valentina was wonderful, always on hand when we needed anything. She suggested great places to visit and helped us arrange trips and special food experiences. Our villa was clean, cozy, practical, and cool, and breakfast was good and generous. We spent two weeks there and loved it. The estate is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, and the public beach is just a five-minute walk away. If you’re visiting the lovely Gargano, I highly recommend staying here. It made the trip even more special.

Everything was spotless, and the villa was spacious, well furnished, and fully equipped. The estate itself is lovely, surrounded by olive and citrus trees and oleanders, with complete privacy. Breakfast was excellent. Mrs. Valentina also deserves a big thank you: she was punctual and precise when handing over the villa, gave us clear directions, arranged the beach for us, and shared a list of restaurants and activities. 👏👏👏
