The service was polite and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast at the hotel was superb, with lots of delicious choices. Our room was a good size, though some remodeling could make it even nicer. The location was great, just a few steps from Fontana de Trevi. We could visit whenever we wanted. Very early in the morning or late at night there was hardly anyone around, so even when we arrived late after a day out, we stopped by and enjoyed it in peace.

The call ended with the staff hanging up on us while we were still talking. From the start, they were rude and dismissive, focusing on the money they might lose instead of hearing what had happened. Our flights were cancelled, so we had to cancel the hotel too. Booking.com had already agreed to waive both the cancellation fee and its commission, and every other hotel on our trip accepted the cancellation. This place wouldn't cooperate or show any empathy. We found the whole experience extremely disappointing and would strongly recommend booking somewhere that treats its customers with care.

Alessandro at the front desk was the standout, really the only person who helped us. The location is awesome. With better service and a few room upgrades, this place could be the heart of a Florence trip. As it was, I wasn't that happy with the stay.

After spending the day walking around Rome, we still had to climb to the fifth floor because there was no service elevator. Our attic room had a large, noisy AC unit. Customer service was bad, and they didn't even offer anything. I hope other guests don't have the same experience. I won't stay here again.

Plenty of cafes, places to eat, and shops are right outside, and most of the sights are easy to reach on foot. Fontana di Trevi is just a stone's throw away. We enjoyed our second stay at the Accademia, where the service and amenities felt better than you'd expect from a three-star hotel. Breakfast is optional, and the food was mouthwatering at a very reasonable 10€ per person. Highly recommended.
