Affittacamere Sereno

The bed was super comfortable, and the building has an elevator, which was welcome after a full day of walking. Breakfast was okay, as shown in the attached photo, and the host brings it each morning at the agreed time. Nothing fancy, but it works well if you’re saving money and want a place near the city centre.

I liked having a shared kitchen, with a fridge where I could keep my Prosecco, and it was easy to make tea or coffee outside breakfast hours. There’s a TV with YouTube, Netflix and other options. The local area has nice restaurants, plus a supermarket about 7/8 minutes away on foot, and a local bus can take you to the sights. It’s a basic, clean place, and the host was helpful and accommodating. The AC in our first room was noisy and didn’t work well, but when we mentioned it he moved us to a much better room. He fairly pointed out that it’s an old building with old units. No frills, but we had a pleasant stay and I’d recommend it.

The only possible plus is that Affittacamere Sereno is in Europe. The sheets were filthy, there were bed bugs, and the noise never stopped. Nothing about the place meets basic hygiene standards or even 20th century standards, let alone 21st. I’d rather sleep in a tent outside Termini. Never again.

A great spot near the terminal, ideal if you want to spend your time walking.
