Agli Horti Sallustiani bed & breakfast

Mario was super friendly and welcoming. The air conditioning didn't work very well, and it kept getting switched off while we were out for a few hours, so we left it running in the morning hoping the room would be bearable when we got back. Also, the “breakfast included” wasn't much of a breakfast, just a cheap, store-bought croissant. The coffee was lovely, though. Definitely plan to go out for breakfast.

Mario went out of his way to make our time in Rome pleasant, and the woman serving breakfast was lovely and welcoming. The B&B is very conveniently placed for walking to the main sights. Wi-Fi was stable and pretty fast, too. We'd recommend staying here.

Mario and the woman who served breakfast and cleaned our room were both wonderful, and the location put everything within a reasonable walk. The room, though, was surprisingly small. We were told not to flush toilet paper, which meant using the bidet, but its water pressure was poor. The shower had barely a trickle as well, and the showerhead was broken. We had a decent stay overall and might come back to see how another room is.

The best part was the people. Mario welcomed us warmly, shared tips for seeing the city, and even offered fresh orange juice. Imelda, who looks after breakfast, was just as friendly. On the night we left for the airport, she kindly offered us a ride. Both of them did their best to make us feel at home, and the place felt more focused on people than money. We slept well and were comfortable, even if everything wasn't perfect. I'd read some less favorable reviews, but we didn't have that kind of experience. Breakfast isn't like what you'd get at a hotel, but for the nightly price I thought it was just right, and it gave us a chance to chat with Imelda. We have no regrets about booking, and would choose Mario’s Bed and Breakfast again if we return to Roma.
