We really enjoyed staying at AH Roma and would recommend it to others. For a family with children, it worked well in an expensive city like Rome. Breakfast was included and had all the essentials, and the hotel was clean with very friendly staff. Our room also had a little kitchen with a fridge and an electric induction hob. The location is very close to the train stations. Come stay here and enjoy Rome! Mrs. Namrota Mukherjee Germany

The restaurant downstairs was the highlight for me. The food was local, really tasty, and served in huge portions. The lamb was lovely, and it was one of the best meals I had in Rome, with no fuss and great flavor. The hotel itself was very basic, check-in took ages, and it’s a long way outside Rome. Still, it was okay for the price.

We booked one night, but the price didn’t feel fair for what we got. The room was dirty, and the TV seemed to be there just for decoration. At least the air conditioning worked. Check-in took exactly 60 minutes. Maybe they had new staff practicing on us, even though we’d travelled for six hours and were there with children. Breakfast was a letdown, just cheese, ham, and panini.

The hotel was a long way out, the service was poor, and the booking couldn’t be cancelled. The whole experience was dog shit. I’d booked a room for two, where the reservation said we could have twin or king-size beds, but there was no way to choose. More than half a month beforehand, I contacted the hotel to ask for twin beds. They asked for my information, then disappeared and never replied. Check-in took nearly twenty minutes, while the two women at reception were very loud and seemed not to care about customers at all. Afterward, they told me only king-size rooms were available. First they blamed me, saying I should have contacted them in advance if I had a request, and that they couldn’t know if I didn’t. I told them I had reached out more than half a month earlier and got no answer. Then they said there were no twin rooms left by that point and that I should have checked the rules before booking. But I had checked them, which is why I contacted them in advance. In the end, they offered no solution.

The staff treated us warmly and respectfully as foreign guests, with no discrimination, obvious or subtle. They welcomed us openly and were polite and genuinely helpful, making us feel at home. We’re very grateful and would happily come back. For foreign travelers on a tighter budget, I’d recommend it. It’s clean, welcoming, and the hospitality felt real. I’m honestly puzzled by the negative reviews. Some people may not appreciate what they have. If you want luxury service, you can stay at a five-star hotel, but compare what you’d pay there with the price here. This hotel isn’t in the city center, yet it offers more than you’d expect for the cost. The rooms are clean and well maintained, the air conditioning worked perfectly, which matters in Rome’s summer, and breakfast was delicious and surprisingly generous, all thoughtfully prepared. To those who left harsh comments, I’d gently ask whether you considered what you paid and what you received. A little gratitude goes a long way. Thanks to the staff for making our stay so good.
