Albergo Enrica

We needed a base for exploring Rome, and this guesthouse worked well. It cost quite a bit less than nearby hotels, and our room was clean. There isn’t a standard reception setup, but the host was kind, helpful, and explained everything we needed to know.

The rooms are spacious, and the building has an old-fashioned charm. The man who seems to run the hotel with his mother, and his mother, were both welcoming and very kind. Housekeeping came each day to make the beds and replace the soap and shampoo, which was nice to return to. Roma Termini, the big train station, is right nearby.

The room had a minibar, hair dryer, air conditioning, towels, and little soap samples. We enjoyed our stay, especially with Termini station and the railway stop so close. Breakfast was decent, with croissants and brioches plus hot and cold drinks, and some rooms look out over a quiet garden. I do wish the towels had been cleaner.

The staff were friendly, and my room was clean and nicely prepared. They also let me leave my luggage after checkout without any hassle. The garden and terrace where breakfast is served are lovely. Breakfast itself could use more variety: having pastries every day for five days got a bit boring for me, and there weren’t any decent paper napkins available. I’d still recommend this hotel.
