The room was the best part of the hostel, it was big, and the location was good too. But there were only two small bathrooms for seven rooms, and the building is old. The area felt dark to me, and there was only a small sign to identify the hostel.

It was a little run down, but fine for sleeping. If you’re up for walking, you can get to anything you want to see.

For the price, I thought things were fine, and getting around from the apartment was easy. Both metro lines are close, and we walked to Rome’s sights from the room, including the Colosseum, about 15 minutes away. The neighborhood was very dirty, including the nearby park. Check-in was frustrating too. The booking page said 1:00 PM, but we arrived at 7:00 AM and had to leave our suitcases in the luggage storage at Termini Station. They ignored our check-in requests. We were also charged an extra 5 euros for an in-room shower.
