The room was clean, which is the only reason I’m giving it one star instead of zero. The rest was a huge letdown: it was cramped, uncomfortable, and nothing like the online photos. The bed was pushed against the wall with barely any room to move. Furniture was cheap and basic, not elegant. The so-called wardrobe was a few hangers under the air conditioning unit, and the desk was just a small, awkward table squeezed into a corner. The bathroom was also small and plain, far from the sleek modern version shown online. I booked based on pictures and reviews of a bright boutique-style property with spacious rooms and stylish furniture. What we got was completely different. The online presentation creates an illusion, and this feels like false advertising and deception. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The building is a beautiful historic residence, and its antique elevator had a lot of charm. My room was clean, on a quiet street, but still close to all the action and the train station. I didn’t expect to sleep so well in a major city, lol. I had a great stay, especially after a nightmare travel experience a couple of months ago when the hosts were very helpful and accommodating. I’ve been meaning to post this review.

I felt like a romantic Italian local in this restored heritage building. The location was great for sightseeing, and the place was comfortable. My balcony room was well worth booking, with a gorgeous view of the Basilica. The room was spacious and clean, and everything worked, including the hairdryer and shower.

I visited Rome and the Vatican for the first time with my daughter, and the location couldn’t have been better. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the toilet was spotless. Martina was lovely and went out of her way to arrange a taxi to the airport and look after our luggage after checkout. We stayed two nights and would definitely come back on another visit to Rome and the Vatican. Thanks, Martina, keep it up. Mary

Our guest house was on the third floor, so be ready for some stairs. There isn’t a reception desk, since this isn’t a hotel. Still, we had a great experience. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony and a great view of the Vatican. There were lots of nearby shops and restaurants, and St. Pietro train station was close by for local trains or buses.
