Hotel Aquarium Termini

The one useful thing is that the property is only 150 m from the train station, so it might suit someone with an early train and just one night's stay. Otherwise, I'd avoid it. The area felt very unsafe to us with children, in both daytime and evening. Someone was taking drugs outside in the afternoon and curled up on the ground that evening, and groups of young men were hanging around as we walked toward the restaurants. The sheets on the beds were clean, but the mattresses underneath were dirty and had no protective covers. There was no hot water, and it seemed to be an ongoing problem unlikely to be fixed. The toilet cistern had no lid, smelled bad, and was noisy and unhygienic. The shower looked clean, but we didn't use it because the water was freezing. The room was quiet enough? no. The poor man trying to clean the place, check guests in, and handle everything isn't to blame. The owner should close it, fix it, and reopen only when it's hygienic and suitable for customers. People shouldn't be charged while it's below standard. Booking.com also needs to answer for listing it and not responding to my questions. I didn't read the reviews properly, and you can't expect much if you do. I'd rather walk a million miles than stay there again, whatever the location rating says.

We booked at the last minute for one night with family, and the location worked well, with everything close and the center about a 10-20 minute walk away. The reception guy was fine, nothing to complain about. For a one-night stay, it was pretty good. The neighborhood isn't good for children, like areas around central stations can be. The hall felt creepy and wasn't suitable for kids. There should be more lighting and clearer directions for finding the hotel.

For the price, we really couldn't ask for more. The beds were comfortable, especially the pillows, and there was free bottled water and espresso in the reception area. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and we felt looked after. It's barely a 10-minute walk from Termini Station. The neighborhood seemed lively and less touristy, but we felt safe walking back at night.

It's hard to find a room this good in Italy's capital for such a low price. I stayed a few days and really liked how the hotel was managed. The service was very good. Thank you.
