Aurelia Gardens

The prepaid dinner was awful, so we had to spend extra money on food. In the room, the air conditioning didn’t work and we were very cold, the bathroom door was broken, and the shower had no hot water. We reported the water problem, but nothing was done, so we ended up showering in our friends’ room. I’m sorry, but I can’t give more than one star.

For the price, this hotel is nice, and the staff were really nice too.

The staff were actually pretty nice, but I wasn’t impressed with the place and was quite scared by our room. It wasn’t up to standard: trim was coming off, wires were exposed, the mattress was disgusting, and the walls were badly scuffed. The lobby gives you the impression the rooms will be nice, but ours wasn’t. The food was okay, though if the rooms are that gross, I have to wonder about the kitchen’s cleanliness too. I especially wouldn’t recommend it for more than three travelers. Our room seemed meant for two, but all four of us were squeezed in, and there was no bed, sheets, pillows, or blankets for the fourth person. There was a chair that turned into a bed, which we had to figure out ourselves, then ask for sheets, towels, and pillows so that person could at least try to sleep. I do not recommend this place.

The rooms were clean enough and perfectly adequate, and we had no issues with the bathroom. Dinner service, though, was unacceptable, and the server was rude. My friend had the vegetarian menu the previous night, but when she asked for it, she was overlooked and then given the wrong menu twice. When we pointed that out, the server got angry and stormed off. She threw all the cutlery into the sink in a rage, and my friend ended up with no dinner. At breakfast, the sandwich was tiny, with almost no toppings. It wasn’t enough and could barely satisfy a toddler.
