B&B Casa Der Poeta

The host helped us sort out parking and pointed us toward places to see around Rome. The location is right beside the metro, with good markets and places to eat close by. It doesn't feel like a touristy area, which we liked.

I booked this for my older son for two nights as a break from backpacking. It was clean and nicely presented, pretty basic, but the price was fair.

The balcony table became part of our routine, for breakfast and a chat before bed. We had a lovely weekend at Luca's B&B with my best friend. Our room was spotless and had a fresh, clean smell when we arrived. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the new double-glazed windows kept out the city noise once closed, so we slept easily. They even changed our towels unexpectedly, and the cleaning lady was very kind. It's only steps from the metro and well served by buses. Most sharing services operate in the area, which made getting around easy even with my friend's knee trouble and difficulty walking. The B&B has what you need, including a coffee machine that was great to come back to after miles of walking. Luca was kind and helpful, answered all our questions, suggested places to eat and things to see, and let us leave our bags on the last day so we could enjoy one more tour of Rome. We hope to return soon. We had a wonderful time.

The manager and owner was the standout for me. He's serious and precise, but also very friendly and quickly put me at ease with advice on getting around Rome. I was there for work and the location made booking an easy decision, with the Vatican and beyond easy to reach. The Metro A red line is just a few meters away, so the city center is only minutes off. My room was spotless, spacious, comfortable, and had an en-suite bathroom. The building and rooms were kept very clean. Next time I'm back in this beautiful city, I'll book at CASA DER POETA again. TOP!
