Laura and Franz, thanks for everything. You were kind and helpful, and I hope the next guests enjoy their stay. I hope my comments help others decide. There are lots of cafes, shops, and local restaurants nearby. The apartment is close to the Colosseum, Forum, San Giovanni in Laterano, Scala Santa, and Termini station, about 10-15 min away. But Rome is a very BIG city. If you're hoping to see all the sights in one or two days, you'll need transport, especially for the Vatican or Villa Borghese. It's far from the center on foot, so it isn't a good base for a walking tour. The traffic interchange makes the area very noisy. If you sleep badly, this apartment may not suit you, and the mattresses weren't comfortable for us. The room didn't have a teapot, had only one chair, and there wasn't enough room for big luggage. The kitchen had no microwave or oven, and just one rosette for both the teapot and coffee machine, although coffee and tea were available. Breakfast was at the cafe and consisted of just coffee and a croissant. Sorry, but Merulana was much better. We also had problems with the fridge, which flowed when we left the room. I think it may have been because the electronic key switches the room light on, but I still think the fridge should stay on all the time. As for upkeep, the room wasn't cleaned every day, and towels, sheets, shampoo, and soap were changed only once a week. If that's the apartment's policy, it should be stated in the rules. The shower water pressure was weak. This was the first time we'd been disappointed with a room, even though we appreciated Laura and Franz's hospitality.

The owner was super nice and helpful, and the rooms were good. There was more than one bathroom, which worked well with other guests staying there. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Colloseum. We had a perfect stay and would happily go back.

Damiano was really helpful and gave us advice on spending our holiday and directions to the sights we wanted to visit. The service was very good, the location was perfect, and we got fresh food for breakfast every day. The toilets had cosmetics too. The only issue was that we were on one floor without wii-fii. I think that should be fixed in the future.

The room was large for one person and could sleep three, and breakfast was included. Staff were nice and arranged a taxi for the next morning. I'd have given it five stars, but police cars kept passing with sirens all night and into the morning.
