B&B Palombini

The location has plenty nearby, from shops, restaurants, bars, and trattorias to a bakery, greengrocer, shopping center, and post office. Vatican City is within walking distance, public transport is close, and there's even a shuttle to and from Fiumicino Airport. Lori also gave us a fantastic welcome and was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Our room looked welcoming at first, but it had some real problems. It was on the ground floor, with a window onto a private but busy road. Even with the blackout curtains, we couldn't leave the shutters open without being seen by people passing by or neighbors. The curtains didn't block enough, either, so we ended up hot. The air conditioning didn't work and had a “do not touch” sign on it. Hot water only worked every other day, and the minibar didn't get cold enough. We reported the boiler and fridge problems straight away but got no response. There also weren't enough shower products for two people for the length of our stay.

We were there as a couple for one night, and it was a terrible experience. There were only two towels, and hardly anywhere to put our clothes because the closet was full of personal belongings. The sheets were dirty and hadn't been changed. The room was cold, with no way to turn on the heat.

The daily housekeeping was excellent, and the lady was extremely courteous. A few things could be better: the fee for checking in late, a bathroom with no window and a vent that doesn't ventilate, and no bidet.

The room and bathroom were spacious, and I thought they were worth the price. The property was great, and everything was perfect. It's very close to Baldo degli Ubaldi metro station, and the owner was kind and helpful.
