It was quiet and fairly peaceful around here. The bathroom’s a little small, maybe, but the shower was comfortable. The room had all the amenities, even a small iron and ironing board.

We picked this guest house for how close it is to Teatro Olimpico, where we were seeing a show. It’s only about a ten-minute walk along the main avenue. The place is on the second floor, with an elevator and a lovely inner courtyard. Our room looked onto it through two big windows, so it was bright and peaceful despite the nearby pubs, bars, and shops. The bed was very comfortable and came with lots of nice pillows. Everything was impeccably clean, and the shower was spacious. There were thoughtful extras too, like water by the bed and a kettle with tea and herbal teas.

I never got to stay here, and the way management handled a booking problem was scandalous. I’d booked through Booking.com in September for November 19th. In early November, they told me to replace my soon-to-expire card. My partner’s card was rejected, so I entered my new card details, but then Booking.com cancelled the reservation and told me to call the property. This was ten days before the stay. I understand it might not have been the property’s fault, so I called right away. On my third call, the woman answered, but cut me off after I introduced myself: “Madam, this is the third time you’ve called me. I have a commitment.” I explained the cancellation and why I urgently needed to speak with her. She insisted she hadn’t cancelled anything, repeated that she had a commitment, and said she’d call later. I waited for hours and heard nothing. I’d also sent a question through chat and never got a reply. With customer service like that, I’m glad I didn’t end up trying the place.

A clean, well-kept bed and breakfast in Rome. Public transport and the metro into the city center are close by, and Ponte Milvio is just steps away.
