Bea Suites Luxury Rooms

My room had only a window facing a busy road with heavy traffic, despite the website saying every room has a private balcony. They also say bathrobes are provided, but there wasn't one in my room. Another booking site said airport transfers were available, so after emailing Bea Luxury Suites, I booked one at the advertised rate. A driver picked me up, but he had never been there before and had to rely on his phone's route planner. He didn't know where the place was when we arrived either. It seems they just call a taxi, not run a shuttle. The address was hard to find in the dark. The house number had apparently fallen off and wasn't replaced, and there was no sign for Bea Luxury Suites. I called the number in the booking confirmation, which I'd received after booking directly through their website, and was told they had no reservation for me and didn't know me. The driver had already left. I was alone outside on a dark Rome street at night, with the temperature at 5 degrees, being told they had no record of me. After many calls, someone eventually came from nearby, showed me the entrance, and let me in. There is no reception, so it's an unsupervised guesthouse where there's no one to talk to if something happens at any hour. The breakfast people praise was dry toast with a toaster, one jam and one hazelnut spread, two kinds of ordinary cake, coffee, one kind of yogurt, two cereals, and cold milk. I couldn't work out how to warm the milk. There was no microwave and nobody around to ask. There was an old-looking metal appliance with a rusty bottom, but whether guests are meant to use it to warm milk remains a mystery. I'd give one star because zero isn't an option, and the second is for the cleaner, who was polite and put a smile on my face when I left after one night.
