Beautiful Place in Rome

If you need somewhere safe and affordable near the station, this is worth considering. Our room was very basic, with two single beds and a renovated shower room. The safe was in the room, but using it meant paying a €20 deposit for the key. The fridge was by reception, and a kettle was somewhere in the corridor. People chatted outside noisily until midnight. Air conditioning was available, but they added an extra charge to the bill. Still, the place felt safe and was convenient for the train station.

It's a stone's throw from Termini station. The decor is simple, the showers are great, and the beds are comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. There's no breakfast, but you can bring your own tea or coffee and use the little kitchen area. Cold water is available to buy from the fridge at reception.

The cleaning was good, the location worked well, and the staff were very kind. They even went out of their way to welcome us before the usual check-in time. Still, I wouldn't recommend it without reservation: the shower in one of our rooms was broken, barely let any water out, and wouldn't stay on its holder, which was a real inconvenience. We were also told the air could be turned on for 5 euros, but when we asked, they said that wasn't available.

The place was just about okay. We stayed in December, so nights were quiet. The sheets were clean and, thankfully, the hot water worked. They tried to charge us €7 per person per day for the tourist tax, which is illegal, since a two-star B&B should charge no more than €3. They also wanted cash, apparently to avoid paying taxes themselves and giving us an invoice. Disgraceful place.
