The service felt luxurious, from the communication to the housekeeping and amenities, even though access to the hotel is independent. Our rooms were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The building itself has plenty of charm, and its location beside Castel Sant’Angelo is excellent, with San Pietro, the Vatican, and the metro all within walking distance. The four of us stayed at Piedra boutique hotel for four nights and had the best experience. I highly recommend it.

The room setup worked really well for our family with two kids, especially the one with the open sofa. The shower was a pleasure to use, with comfortable space and strong water pressure. The place feels fresh, clean, nicely decorated, and genuinely boutique, without that big hotel atmosphere. We were also helped quickly when we called after finding ourselves outside a large locked door one evening, unsure whether we were at the right entrance. Booking through booking.com may have caused a mix-up. The main letdown was breakfast. What they provide is a croissant, coffee, butter, jam, and orange juice, which feels like a snack rather than a proper breakfast. I was expecting something different because the descriptions of both the hotel and breakfast gave me the wrong impression. It's more like a managed Airbnb, and breakfast is limited. I'd still warmly recommend the hotel, just get the arrival instructions ahead of time and know what breakfast includes.

Everything is an easy walk from the hotel, and communication was friendly and smooth the whole time. It's on the third floor of a private building, which made the stay feel quiet and personal. They also left complimentary water, cola, tea, and coffee, a nice touch. The rooms are modern, stylish, and beautifully put together, with care in the details. Boutique Hotel Piedra was a comfortable hidden gem, and I'd definitely return.

The layout is unusual, with a small suite divided into hotel rooms inside a mixed-use building. It didn't cause any problems for us, though, just a different concept, a bit like an Airbnb with the usual hotel amenities and setup. The location, bathroom, and bed were all great, and the AC worked well. It's a tiny gem with good amenities. I'd recommend it.

Being in an apartment building gave us a real sense of the neighborhood, and getting to the Vatican was easy from this spot. Piedra was one of the coolest places we stayed during our pilgrimage. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and fancy, and the staff were always helpful and friendly, especially Federico. Even though the concierge service was mainly through WhatsApp, they answered any concerns really quickly. I'd recommend it again and again.
