Hotel Cambridge

After a long day, it was nice to come back to a clean room and a warm smile. Everyone I met on staff was pleasant, attentive, and spoke English well. Roma Termini train station is also within walking distance, which was a bonus.

The location is great, but after three nights we were exhausted and didn’t want to return to the room after a full day out. The two beds we booked were pushed right next to each other in such a small room that there wasn’t space to walk between them. They were incredibly uncomfortable, and my back is still messed up. The Wi-Fi was spotty and extremely slow, and there are no real amenities. I asked several times for an iron, but the hotel only has one, so I had to wait until the next day. If you need one, get it and iron all your clothes at once. In room 107, the tiny shower had no real separation from the toilet, so everything got wet. The bathroom curtain was broken and dirty, and I honestly wanted to cry. The mini fridge didn’t work and had mold inside. This was probably the worst hotel experience I’ve had, though I know the rooms may differ. One staff member was very nice and helped us get a taxi to the airport, but the staff in general weren’t that friendly. I’d read bad reviews before booking and still chose this place so we could spend more on things to do in Rome and food. I’d say pay attention to those reviews. At under $80-100 euro a night, the location might make it worth considering, but we paid $170 and it wasn’t worth that. I’ve learned that a comfortable room matters if you want to enjoy the place you’re visiting.

We stayed here twice on the same trip, and the staff were happy to see us again and very nice throughout. The room was really nice, and everything met or exceeded what we expected. For the price, it was an excellent stay. It’s conveniently located near the railway station, within walking distance of the tourist attractions, and close to the bus station for the Vatican.

The rooms were clean and cozy, and the price was really affordable. Staff were amazing, professional, super friendly, and ready to help with anything. If something comes up, talk to reception. They genuinely go above and beyond to sort things out. The location is fantastic, about a five-minute walk from the Grand Station. I’d seen complaints in reviews before booking, but we loved our stay. Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t be disappointed!
