We spent four nights here with breakfast and were very pleased. The room was lovely and clean, breakfast was plentiful, and reception were helpful in recommending good places to eat. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Termini, and the buses and metro are easy to use. We felt very safe in the area, with a police station opposite and soldiers guarding the embassy on the corner. The Trevi Fountain is within walking distance, and there’s the best gelato shop ever nearby. I’d recommend this hotel and stay again.

The bathroom was in bad shape, with light fixtures partly hanging off the wall and the sink shelf slanting down, nearly falling off. The beds were hard, and the pillows were so flat and hard they caused pressure points. We got only four hours of sleep. Stuffing our coats into an empty pillowcase was more comfortable. When we asked the front desk for help, they offered more of the same pillows, then told us we needed to travel with our own and claimed nobody had ever complained, even though other reviews describe the same problem. They wouldn’t let us cancel the remaining nights and leave. There are better places to book. Don’t stay here.

The hotel was quiet, clean, and a great experience. Breakfast was good, and it’s easy to get to the train station and buses. Customer service was good, and the receptionist was especially friendly and helpful. I recommend it for a holiday.

We woke up and booked another hotel straight away. For over $100 a night, I expected a working bathroom, an elevator that felt safe, and a welcoming front desk. This place didn’t deliver. Breakfast wasn’t included either, and cost another $20 for two people. They also charged a city tax that had to be paid in cash. The toilet ran all night, the bathtub jets were broken, and the buttons were falling out. I’m 6’1”, and the shower was so low that water sprayed across the bathroom floor to reach me. The elevator made worrying noises on the way up and took an unusually long time to come down. The front desk guy last night was the least friendly person I met in Italy. He didn’t seem welcoming at all, and I even told my girlfriend he looked like he hated his job. The area outside wasn’t great either, with police cars along the street, possibly because there’s a police station next door, and a guy at the end of the block with a machine gun. I’ve stayed in about 13 hotels on this trip, and this was easily the worst value.
