Candia Inn Vatican

We could walk to the Vatican and the castle, and the metro and buses were close by. One ride took us to the main tourist spots. The stay was comfortable, with good amenities and excellent service. They also kept our luggage in lockers after checkout. Breakfast was served at the cafe across the street. It was good, though a little too sweet for me. I also really liked having coffee and tea just outside the room. Good value for the price, and I’d recommend it.

It’s good value for money, but breakfast was the one letdown. The voucher only covered one croissant and one coffee at the caffe next to the property. They could improve that a bit.

This is room only, and I wasn’t very happy with my 3-night stay. We arrived in the morning to drop off our bags but couldn’t get into the room, so we had to find a luggage room and pay to store them. I’d suggest contacting the property on WhatsApp a day before you arrive. The room is beside the road, and cars, buses, and motorcycles were really loud all evening. The shower room was extremely tiny. I’m 155cm and 50 kg and could hardly move in there. The place wasn’t very clean either. A towel they’d replaced that day was still damp on the rack. The Wi-Fi was poor, either disconnecting constantly or very weak, as shown in the photo. It was too pricey for what we got. The location was okay, but the food at the breakfast place wasn’t good quality.

A perfect spot near the Vatican museum. The rest of it was moderate.
