Casa de' Coronari Suites

The staff, Edvardo, Benjamino, and Patrizia, made us feel welcome right away and were always happy to help. They also run Enoteca Bellini, where we had one of the best meals of our trip. That’s high praise, since food and culture are a big part of why we travel. We spent five nights at Casa de’ Coronari Suites, and the room matched its online description: charming, lovely, and comfortable. The striking ceiling stood out, and we enjoyed having a private terrace as a quiet retreat above Rome’s busy streets. Our bed was fairly firm but comfortable. The shower was spacious, with a rain-style head and a handheld one, though it took a little while to get warm. It’s in a glass enclosure in the main room; the toilet and sink are in a separate little room. A nice surprise was the complimentary fridge, refilled each day with a changing selection that consistently included things like juice, Coca-Cola, beer, water, and milk. There was also a Nespresso machine and a selection of cereal, handy for a simple breakfast before heading out. It’s a small boutique property with just a few rooms. We were on the top floor, so there were quite a lot of stairs. For us, that added to the feeling of staying in a quiet Roman apartment instead of a standard hotel. The room was mostly quiet, though we heard some noise at times. As a light sleeper, I found a travel sound machine helpful. We had a truly wonderful stay and Casa de’ Coronari Suites exceeded what we expected. We’d absolutely return. Thank you!
