Casa Dolce Casa

The apartment smelled very bad and was moldy. There was black mold all over the bathroom floor and walls. The floor was very old, with the parquet worn down to the wood, and there were no bed linens for all the beds. The place was far from the photos and reviews on the booking site. The black mold was terrible and, to me, a serious health risk. We left after the first night and moved to another apartment far away. When the host reacted to the smell, they opened a window.

The suite was a decent value for the price, even with a few worn pieces of furniture and some areas looking rundown. It's on the lower level, about ten minutes from the metro, with a supermarket and lots of food options along Via Ostiense. The suite was generally well furnished, with cookware, plates, and cutlery, though I couldn't find basics like salt and pepper. The lighting was a bit dim but manageable, and I wasn't keen on having the broom and mop out in the bathroom. The place is quite old, and the room barely had ventilation. It smelled musty and damp when we arrived. The AC was on and nice and cool, but what the room really needed was fresh air. Still, it was a good stay for the money, so I'd give it a positive three stars.
