The care here made this stay feel like visiting family who were genuinely glad to have us back. The personal assistant was thoughtful and kind, anticipating what we might need and guiding us naturally. The place was clean and felt secure, and it was reassuring to know someone was always there if we needed help. Casa Modelli is so well placed that falling in love with Rome felt effortless. On my second trip to the city, I expected something like the beautiful, polished five-star hotel I’d stayed in before. This was deeper and more meaningful, beyond anything a luxury rating could capture. I also traveled through London, Paris, and Florence, and this was easily the most meaningful stay of the trip. If I return to Rome, I know where I’ll go. Some places seem to choose you, and this one felt like it chose me.

Tucked into a quiet little alley, yet right by Trevi fountain, the location was ideal. The apartment was lovely and comfortable, with everything we needed and then some. Mariel was incredibly attentive, kind, and easy to reach. We also enjoyed breakfast on the roof. We had a great time and will definitely come back to Rome.

Mariel was a wonderful host and made our Christmas stay more enjoyable despite the apartment's shortcomings. She welcomed us, showed us around the Apartment Deluxe on the 4th floor and the rooftop terrace above, and even brought eggs made to order and coffee to our room. Breakfast was great. The location is excellent, very close to Trevi fountain but on a quiet side street. Our Uber from the airport dropped us right at the door, which was especially handy on a rainy morning. The main bedroom and living area were bright, warm, and spacious. The problems were mostly with the bathrooms and noise. The tiny shower in the main bathroom, which isn't shown in the website picture, had broken, loose tiles that made it uncomfortable on bare feet. As another reviewer mentioned, the drain was slow and water backed up in the shower pan. The bathroom serving the adjoining bedroom had no radiator, had mold or mildew, and smelled strongly of sewer gas. That adjoining bedroom was cramped for our two adult children, with hardly any clothes storage. The rooftop terrace is also where breakfast is served, and staff started preparing around 7:30 each morning. We could hear the orange juicer, coffee maker, dishes, and people talking from our bedrooms. All in all, it was a decent stay, though neither the best nor the worst accommodation. Mariel herself was excellent.

Karla and the staff were terrific, and everything beat our expectations a little, from the service and room to the quiet, even so close to Trevi Fountain. The rooftop breakfasts were fantastic and suited our family well. They even hosted us for dinner one evening, which was more than we expected. I'd recommend Casa Modelli to anyone after a great experience.
