The AC wasn’t working, and trying to sleep with the window open was difficult because the hotel is near a busy traffic area. The room itself was nice, spacious, and clean. Staff were very helpful: they explained the best way to reach public transportation and warned us about what to watch for with pickpockets.

I booked three nights but checked out on the first day. At night, while I was going to sleep, a man tried to break into my room. Luckily my family was in the room next door, and my brother saw him running to the elevator when he came out. I reported it at the front desk. The receptionist, speaking broken English, told me, “Oh no, don’t worry, this hotel is safe.” I kept asking to see the camera footage so I could check and show them someone had tried to get in, but the manager or owner said there were no cameras and nothing they could do to help. This was the worst possible experience. If you’re a girl or a family, do yourself a favor and never book this hotel. If I could, I’d give it no stars.

I’ve been in the room for ten minutes and I’m already checking out. It’s awful, and I’ve seen prison cells that looked nicer. I didn’t expect much since it’s cheap, but this is the worst hotel I’ve ever had the misfortune to stay in. Avoid it at all costs.

The area is a little away from the tourist spots, but it felt safe to walk around over the weekend, and I’ll definitely stay here again. My friend and I spent the weekend at Palazzo Sant'Antonio. Kenneth was very knowledgeable about the area and what to see and where to eat, as well as really friendly. Joanne, I think that was her name, was also friendly and happy to chat. She’s Moldovan. Giovanna was very helpful with the safe.
