Cavour Suites

We stayed four nights and loved it. The room was basic but very clean, and was cleaned every day. We slept well with no noise. The staff were friendly and helpful, and tea and coffee were free. There was a fridge in the room with bottles of water each day, plus a mini market next door. It’s very central for sightseeing, five minutes from the Colosseum and a 25-30 minute walk from St. Peter’s. If you like walking around Rome, it’s ideal and well priced. There are restaurants for every budget right nearby, from grab-and-go to sit-down meals, and the area has a great buzz for young and old. The only drawback is that it’s on the second floor, so if you don’t like lifts, you’ll need to be comfortable with the stairs. Super experience, enjoy your stay!

The room itself was clean, but the breakfast was basic and had to be eaten in the bedroom. The worst part was the awful, loud noise from outside. We couldn’t sleep during either of the two nights we stayed.

You’re right in central Rome, two minutes on foot from Roma Termini and the hop-on-hop-off bus stop. It’s a plain B&B in an old building, and the proprietress does her best to provide good service. The rooms are spacious, though very basic and dated. The TV channels are all in Italian, even the Hollywood ones. Breakfast is simple, but fine if you’re not fussy.

A good option for budget travellers. The staff were helpful, the rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the rooms were looked after every day. I’d stay again if I got the chance.
