The reception and breakfast staff were always really friendly, though only the reception staff spoke English, so bear that in mind if you don’t know Italian. I stayed with other students from my university, and unfortunately there were several school groups. It was basically loud all night. All in all, the stay was okay.

I was used to staying in five-star hotels, so this was a nice change. It wasn’t bad, but it definitely didn’t feel worthy of five stars. In person, I would’ve expected it to have at least three.

The hotel felt noisy and depressing, and we found the neighborhood dangerous in the evening, with drug addicts around the entrances. The lighting was so poor that you had to use your phone to light up a person. Heating came on for just five minutes in the evening, so there was no chance of the rooms warming up. The air conditioners didn’t work, and the hot water lasted about two minutes. It wasn’t really hot, just slightly warm. We thought it might only be our room, but several families were there and all the rooms were like that. Miserable, and I don’t recommend it.

The building is very old, but the lift was good. I was given a spacious double room with air conditioning and a bathroom with a bidet. It was clean and felt safe, and the management and reception staff were good. The hotel is very near ROMA TERMI STATION, with restaurants, bars, and shops along the street. There was a little noise in the corridors. Other hotels and B&Bs are in the same building. Recommended.
