For what we paid, there were far too many problems, and the room felt dirty and stuffy. Mold was growing out of every nozzle on the handheld shower, which was disgusting to use. Hot water was missing for two nights, and some bulbs and light switches didn't work. Management locks the HVAC and air conditioning controls, so you can't set the temperature or mode for your own comfort. Housekeeping was extremely loud at 7 am, dragging furniture and talking as if they were doing construction while people were trying to rest. There were exposed live wires in the hallways, which could pose fire and electrical hazards, especially for young children. This hotel should be called Cheap & Moldy - Unsuitable Rooms. Stay somewhere else if you want to feel cleaner, looked after, and well rested.

The staff are nice and the location is good, but we kept getting locked out of our room. Staff are only at the hotel from 8 am to 8 pm, and the emergency number for after hours didn't work. Not the best experience.

The deluxe room we booked was nice, with a king size bed and high ceilings, though it was a little small. It was very clean apart from a few details, and the shower could have used a deeper clean. The service was very good, and they'll store your bags for free. The location is perfect, about a five-minute walk to the fountain, with the tourist sights easy to reach on foot. But there's very loud construction right above the room from 7 am to 8 pm. It sounds like a jackhammer all day, and you can hear everything from the other rooms too. It woke us every morning and would be unbearable on a longer stay.

The hotel is in a really old building, just two minutes from Piazza di Spagna, and was much nicer and cleaner than we expected. Great value, too. Breakfast is included at a local coffee shop five minutes away, with coffee, juice, croissants, and a variety of sandwiches.

It's a little tricky to find the gate the first time since there isn't a big sign, but the hotel attendant was super helpful when I called. The service was very good, and the air conditioning was wonderfully cool during the hot August days. The location is excellent, close to Rome's major sights. Highly recommended for a first visit to Rome.
