The people we met on staff were polite, and the room was acceptably clean. Sadly, that was about all I liked. It was much smaller than we'd expected for five people, and nowhere near the standard shown in the photos. The extra bed was a mattress on an old bedside cabinet. The shower door didn't fit and wouldn't close, and the neighborhood was noisy and not very pleasant. During our stay, €100 went missing from my wallet in the room. I know I should have used the safe, and that was my mistake, but the money was there before we went out and gone when we got back. The response was even more upsetting. I got no real help, understanding, or serious effort to look into it. Instead, I was told I might be mistaken or that someone in my own group of friends might have taken it. Being met with suspicion when raising a concern was frustrating and insulting. There was no meaningful solution, just defensive replies and what felt like an attempt to pass responsibility to someone else. The loss of the €100 isn't what bothers me most. It's the lack of accountability and the way a legitimate concern was handled. Trust matters in hospitality, and once it's gone, the rest doesn't count for much. Rome is beautiful and has plenty of places to stay. Based on what happened, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Eros greeted us warmly and was friendly and knowledgeable. He pointed us to some great restaurants just off Piazza Del Popolo. We felt quite safe in the neighborhood, and the hotel is handy for nearby bus and metro service. There's a great little cafe by the bus stop, next to the McDonald's, and you can get bus and metro tickets at the big kiosk right beside the stop. It isn't really a luxury hotel, but it has what I look for. The place was quiet and very clean, with a comfortable bed, a bidet in the bathroom, and a safe in the room. Breakfast was included and lovely. They make a terrific cappuccino, the ham is delectable, and the croissants are light and flaky.

The noise from upstairs was unbelievable. That floor isn't part of this accommodation, but we could hear the neighbor getting up, brushing his teeth, and talking on his mobile as if he were in our room. The place is a converted floor plan in an apartment building, with no elevator. The bathroom was in poor condition and had water damage. The room doors were covered in white fake leather, black with dirt around the handles. There was nothing luxurious about it. Breakfast was served in a tiny room and was very limited. Staff took our order, then disappeared into the minimal kitchen to look at their mobile phones. There was no list of what's included, so you had to ask. Answers came very quickly, and when breakfast ended, the owners working as wait staff left without a word. We were taken in by the positive reviews. After staying there, we feel they must have been written by the owners or their family, or bought. It's hard for us to imagine travelers having a positive experience. For the price this "luxury" accommodation charges, we can only advise others not to go. We'd never consider returning.

The location worked pretty well for tourist spots, and there was a small upscale grocery nearby for snacks. We slept comfortably and weren't bothered by the busy street. The staff gave great service, and the room was clean, nice, and modern. The breakfast area was clean too. There was no elevator, and we couldn't set the AC as cool as we'd have liked because it was restricted. On the plus side, the attendant happily carried our large piece of luggage up and down the stairs.

When we asked about leaving our luggage while the room was being prepared, they promptly replied with a warm welcome. Silvia was so kind and helpful when we arrived. She explained everything, showed us places to visit, suggested restaurants, and answered all our questions. The residence is in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood with mostly businesses, and tourist spots are 10 to 15 minutes away. This will be our spot when we return to Roma, and we'll recommend it to friends and family.
