The staff's genuine care made this stay for us. One woman on the evening reception shift was especially lovely and went the extra mile every time we spoke. The decor was beautiful, with a big Murano glass chandelier in the bedroom and all the extras you need. We also loved having a big TV with Netflix access to relax with at the end of a long day. The rooftop terrace gets plenty of sun. The location couldn't be more central, on a lovely street with the opera house just doors away. This is a top class hotel, and the service is second to none. It costs a fraction of the hotels next door, which may have more stars, but I bet their reviews aren't as good. If I come back to Rome, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We started the day with a lovely breakfast on the roof deck, which was a wonderful treat. The staff were thoughtful and attentive. It's a charming, welcoming little hotel in the heart of Rome. Rooms are small and simply furnished, but have all the necessities. Grazie Mille!

The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was cozy, clean, and warm, and the hotel itself is a lovely boutique place with excellent service. It's conveniently located, with bus stops and a metro station nearby, and the main sights are a 15-20 minute walk away. I'll definitely recommend it to my friends.

The hotel feels old, and the stay didn't live up to the premium experience the reviews suggest. Our room smelled bad, the AC barely worked, and the shower pressure was poor. Breakfast was very basic, and staff seemed surprisingly reluctant to provide simple things like ice. Watch out for the snacks that look complimentary on the table. We were charged $5 per cracker, with no price list in sight. They also tried to make us pay the city tax in cash until we pushed back. They kept our passports for a couple hours, and I don't know why. I wouldn't recommend this hotel based on my 3-night stay.

The rooftop was a highlight of our stay at Hotel Columbia. Breakfast up there, looking out over the Eternal City, was a lovely way to start the day, and stopping by in the evening for a classic Italian cocktail was just as magical. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, thanks to the hotel's warm, classic atmosphere and decor that mixes traditional Roman elegance with modern comfort. It's a charming and elegant place in a great spot in Rome's historical center. The team were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout. Check-in and asking for local recommendations were both handled gracefully and efficiently, and it was clear they take pride in making guests feel cared for. Hotel Columbia is an ideal base for a Roman holiday, with a prime location, sophisticated charm, and excellent service. I can't recommend it highly enough and hope to return soon.
