Cortile House

The room is in a good location, but the rest was awful. Everything was dirty or falling apart, there were hardly any outlets, and none of the appliances worked, including the washing machine, espresso maker, oven, and iron. When I raised these problems, Paola, who may be the owner, shouted insults at me on the phone, including anti-Southern Italian phrases. After taking payment, she didn't want to hear any complaints. I would've spent less and had a better stay in a hotel. I've never had a worse experience. DO NOT REPEAT!

There's barely any basic kitchenware: just two plates and three glasses, no breakfast cup, and a moka pot with no coffee. I had to buy coffee myself, and half the old pots and pans were dirty when I arrived, so I had to wash them again. The bathroom had very little soap, and people yelling outside in the morning could be heard through the window. The apartment itself is fairly comfortable, but the air conditioning starts leaking if it's left on for more than ten minutes. It's a bed and breakfast in name, but you only get a bed and breakfast. It's quite far from the evening attractions if you're young and looking for a night out. We wouldn't recommend it. Next time I'll sleep on the street, at least then I can't complain about wasting my money. And I forgot, checkout is at 10.

The two apartments, one on the ground floor and one in the loft, sit in a quiet, private courtyard, just steps from the reception. Check-in was smooth and everything was very clean, with free Wi-Fi. The window faces the avenue toward the Tritone intersection. It's only a few meters from the Ludovisi parking lot and Trevi Fountain. Peaceful, welcoming, and well equipped, this is a wonderful place to stay. It's close to the Spanish Steps and the remarkable historic center. We'll definitely come back to Cortile House when we're in Rome again.
