I walked around every side of this monumental creation and kept being amazed by it. The statues and the scale are incredible, especially when you think about how long ago these works of art were made. The surrounding area has been modernized, but the monument itself remains, and that mix feels both innovative and respectful. It gets busy, so leave yourself time to take it all in. Festivals and historic celebrations are held here too, as this little glimpse shows.

The evening I spent at Piazza Venezia was unforgettable, almost like a fever dream, as the photos and videos show. It’s a lively place to pass through, take pictures, and make your way to other major sights nearby. Traffic and activity make it feel like the center of Rome. The huge white Altare della Patria dominates the square, and its grand design and panoramic views from the top really stand out. Impressive and worth a quick visit.

Renovations mean you currently have to walk around barriers and can’t see the whole place. Even so, the architecture is incredible, and I still think the walk is worth it.

The views are breathtaking ♥️. Piazza Venezia has a striking mix of ancient and modern Rome, with its grand buildings, busy streets, and impressive monument all around you. Standing there feels like being right in the middle of the city’s history and energy.
