Domus Aurea & Colosseo Sweet Flat

The flat is attractive and in a great spot near the Colosseum, but our stay was badly let down by the lack of working air conditioning and the way the problem was handled. The listing said the apartment had air conditioning, and that was a key reason we booked. When we arrived, it wasn’t working, and nobody had told us beforehand. With Rome at 36°C, the heat was more than uncomfortable. Clean B&B, the property manager, offered no real help. Their only suggestion was to “just use the fan,” with no apology or other solution. I had to contact Agoda myself to get a full refund. It’s a shame, because the flat itself is nice and well located. Clean B&B’s poor communication and handling of this issue really undermined the property. Guests should be told about major problems like this ahead of time. I wouldn’t book it again, and I’d urge others to check that key amenities are working before they arrive.
